Ok i take care of my cousin which is schizophrenia and also i will be taking care of her baby? |
what type of degree should i go into college relating to what i do as a job right now? psychiatric nursing would be good. i see you also want to be a child psychologist, which is fine but can take a while. for now the best thing to do is educate yourself on the illness of schizophrenia, get to know the symptoms, behavior, and how to recognize the symptoms. also it would be help full to know the medications, and side effects of the medication that your cousin is on. you may also want to seek your cousins consent, that would give you permission to talk to your cousins caregivers. that can give you insight and be help full if u run into problems. hope i gave you some good advice. Psychiatric nurse, get a BSN in nursing, then specialize as a psychiatric nurse. pyschology maybe, or sociology, you could even try to work as a social worker... if this is something that appeals to you |
