A connective tissue and probable auto immune disease involving the dermis of the skin and often the lining of the upper gastrointestinal system (especially the oesophagus) causing it to become coarse and hard...(schlero..hard, derma...skin.)

auto immune disease
causes multitude of issues
dry eyes, no tears
splotcheson the skin
painful joints, fingers, leg cramps
hardening of the hands, hard to type, crochet etc
is treatable
