Diffuse Scleroderma? |
My husband has been diagnosed with Diffuse Scleroderma. We have 4 children and I work part time. We are worried about the prognosis - but this seems to vary from doctor to doctor as each person's conditions are different. His skin and lungs are definitely affected. Should we be overly concerned about this disease? He is in the early stages. Wondering if anyone else can advise of what steps I might expect - and what I can do or plan for in preparation of the years to come. Thank you. My mother-in-law lived with Scleroderma for about 16 years. It was a very painful process for her. Her hands and feet were effected and so were her internal organs. There isn't a lot of information on Scleroderma and it is good that your husband got an early diagnoses. There is a support group in the county I am from but, it is really small because it is such a rare diagnoses. I am sorry for your family to be going through this. There will be rough times ahead and your husband may start to need help with even the smallest daily tasks. I had to help my mil brush her teeth as she couldn't grip a tooth brush and her hair also. We helped tie shoes and those sorts of thing. Your husband will need you to be strong and understanding. I hope the best for you and will keep your family in my prayers. hmmmmmmm sounds kind of hard then kinds of rashes on your skin can be very bad I think they make various preparations you could try anyway see a dermatologist I recommend |
