Polymyositis and Scleroderma........?

If you or you know anyone that has one or both of these illness, i would like to know how long did it take to accept the illness?

my grandmother had the scleroderma. she was a wonderful woman with a great outlook. she tried not to think about the other stuff and just go one day at a time. take each day and deal with it, try not to worry about the next day. she accepted it and dealt with it very well. it was a hard blow to a woman that was very active and loved life. try and stay positive, i know there are many treatments that can help and that there is new research being done daily.
