Recurrent infections (sinusitis)? Underlying problem?? |
I went through a rough time last year where I was getting recurrent UTIs and one was resistent to antibiotics and I ended up in hospital. This year I have chronic sinusitis... Could there be an underlying cause linking the 2 kinds of recurrent infections? What could be wrong w/my immune system that I get them so easily? I want to get to the bottom of this rather than just keep taking antibiotics over and over and over again! And yes I've seen my doctor, just haven't seen a specialist yet. Thanks! The more you take antibiotics the more your body is immune to them. After awhile they will not work. It sounds like you have a very low immune system. Try taking vitamins, B-12, fruit, anything that can build your immune system up. I would definitely go see a specialist, though. Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon. Valerino I have an Immune Deficiency and it sounds like you do too. I would guess IgA deficiency. Definitely seek the best Immunologist you can find and get the tests done, then you'll know what you're dealing with. Best wishes. Report It It could be in your house. Do you have carpet? Carpet, unless it it cleaned at least every 3 months care allergins. It is just one thought. Ask your doctor, he will tell you the same thing. It could be a problem with your adrenals. I've had six or seven sinus infections this year and was just diagnosed with an adrenal problem. Your doctor should check for immune problems. |
