Hi!Does anyone have a cure for recurring sinusitis? I am constantly on anti biotics. Please help thanks?

I am a singer and it has terrible effects on my career.
If I take antihistamenes then it dries out my vocal chords, so I need something that wont dry me out on the other hand will get rid of the recurring sinusitis and tracheaitis.
thanks very much

Aside from avoiding all chemical (scent) products as well cleaning product (laundry, all-purpose cleaners), you can also try rinsing out your nasal passages so they won't clog your throat. Using "bottled" water and a pre-mix saline solution and adding a natural antibiotic (GSE) Grapefruit Seed Extract to the user bottle (3-5 drops) liquid, you can get some relief without drying out your vocal chords. You may have to blow your nose a few times, so I recommend you do this first thing in the morning and when you come in at night or evening (give yourself some time before bedtime) as your nose/nasal passages will drain. You can also precipitate this by bending over very low (with tissues in hand) and turn your head to either side.

Make the connection.

No doctor will tell you this because it is so simple and yet so "not medical" but nonetheless it is VERY important. Also, patients as a whole like to walk out of a doctors office with a prescription for some magical medicine and many of these meds either do not work or cause other problems.

If you use any of the below mentioned items it is common to have sinus, asthma and allergy problems amongst other health issues. Get rid of them and your lungs will thank you and you will breathe easier.

No Bounce or any other dryer sheets
No Febreeze
No Glade Plug-ins
No scented candles
No Perfumes
No Fragranced Products on Body, Hair or Clothing
No Smoke
No Dander
No Sprays

I have been plagued with recurring sinusitis since i was a child. Ive tried everything. Whilst antihistamines, sinus sprays, eye drops and decongestants help manage the symptoms, the best advice i can give is to seek alternative medicine and help. I went to a homoeopath and the homoeopathic tablets really helped to deal with it. Also get an allergy test done.....you may be allergic to something like dust, cats, pollen, etc...If you can find the cause, you can deal with it and stop it for good. I also know from personal experience that sinus troubles are usually ur body's way of telling you that someone or something is getting up your nose or irritating you. Have a think about it. Is there some part of your life that ur unhappy with? Is someone pissing you off?

Hope it gets better.Hope you find a solution soon.

Simon: The cure for recurring sinusitis is to find the reason for the constant infection. I am guessing that you have been to an ENT, but have you seen an allergist or an immunologist? A simple blood test or skin scratch test can determine if you have allergies and if you do, you will know what to avoid. For example, are you aware of the amount of allergen in your mattress and pillow? Even without allergies, you should be sleeping on these special covers for the bed because it is not good for your voice for you to inhale these particles all night long as you sleep. I will send you a link to a place that sells those covers and you can read about them and see if there is a dealer close to you. But this is your voice is your living, so you need to take care of this right away.
Good Luck

I have alergies too and the best thing that I know to do is avoid some alergies. Mine are ragweed, pollen, dust and so on which I have to go out doors but I try to close windows and drink plenty of liquids. I know prayer helps me too since somethings are not avoidable. email donnalhall3003@yahoo.com
