What is the best home remedy for treating sinusitis? |
What is the best home remedy for treating sinusitis? Snort warm salt water. . boil a jug, poor into a bowl and mix vicks, put a towl over your head and do ten inhalations. It will clear your sinuses and unblock them Make a weak salt solution with warm water. Put solution into a small tea pot with a spout. Tilt your head to the left side, put the spout into the exposed right nostril and let the water run into that nostril. WAIT. The solution dribbles through your sinusis and then exits through the left nostril where gravity helps it leak out. Tilt head to the other side and repeat. Do this every morning to clean out your sinusis. This is an ayurvedic remedy. Saline irrigation is sometimes effective for sinus problems, but if it is actually sinusitis, the only real "remedy" is antibiotics. If left untreated it can become more serious, and even cause pneumonia. Start with drinking a lot of healthy liquids-water, juices, etc. 1. Don't use aspirin or ibuprofen A combination treatment which I have found to be effective is using saline nasal irrigation to clean out the nasal passages followed by treating the nasal passages with 3% hydrogen peroxide and oil of oregano. |
