Anyone suffer from Sinusitis? |
I am just getting over the flu, and have developed a cold, which i could handle, but for the first time in my life i am now suffering with my sinus's. This runs in my family, and have feel like i sooooo much pain in my head? What gets rid and how long does it last for? i have a party on Sunday to go to!!!! The fastest and easiest way to deal with sinusitis is to get a prescription for anti-biotics as sinusitis is an infection and inflammation of the sinus cavity. sudafed (thinks thats how you spell it) I've had this all my life and am seriously thinking of having an operation. At the moment I use nasal spray and sinus tablets that you can get at any chemist. I find taking regular echanicha helps my immunity and therefore I get over colds etc much quicker. I had a chest infection at the weekend as I could feel the ache in my chest but never got ill with it. Try sudafed or actifed at night (as it makes you drowsy) and that should help. Also cut out cows milk as this apparently can exacerbate the cataah in your sinuses. My brother used to suffer really badly and as well as Sudafed, try using a steam inhalation - bowl of v.hot but not boiling water, drap a towel over your head so completely covered (lean over bowl on a table) and breath in steam through nose) can add a drop of Olbas Oil or Vic or something. Also garlic very helpful, either naturally in cooking or in capsules (avoids the smelly breath!) I take suafed for mine to normanly takes a coulpe of days before feeling better though. All else fails speak to gp hope you feel better soon. Self-care I believe i can help you out! My dad suffers with this problem to :( and it is very painful. What i would say is you could be getting sinus issues from the change of weather. What my dad always uses is sudaphed and a nice long rest. I might also suggest you use claritin or generic allergy tablets because they are alot cheeper when you notice weather is changing (from calm day to windy day). I might also suggest you use flonase or nasonex before weather changes. You can get flonase or nasonex by perscription from your doctor. If sudaphed does not work, try tylenol sinus relief because it works great for my dad. I would say one thing though make sure you use real sudaphed and not sudaphed PE except the on tylenol sinus can have sudaphed PE because that is all it comes in i believe but if you find tylenol sinus with regular sudaphed than that would be great! I would also try some heyfever spray because that stuff works pretty good. You should also try getting to a doctor for maybe some anti-biotics. |
