NO!!! menengitis is just inflamation of the menegies near the skull of the brain all around. you will experience the worst headache of your life!!! and your alertness and orientation to things will start fading. Menengitis is fatal within 48 HRS.
Correction; bacterial meningitis is potentially fatal. Viral meningitis is rarely fatal and can only be treated with pain meds. Bacterial can successfully be treated with antibiotics if caught in time.

I would say not. If you are sick or been around someone that's had the flu with a stiff neck that would do it. My daughter had bacterial spinal meningitis when she was 2 1/2 months old. she came close to death but came through with no problems she is a miracle.
