What is Sinusitis?

Spelling right or wrong i donno,
Dr told i have Sinusitis, i have pain near to my eyes when i bend,
i wanna know how i got this infection.

Sinusitis is horrible. I've had it a couple of times. I thought my face must have been bruised around the eye socket because it was painful to the touch, and when I bent forward, it felt like my head was about to explode! It's nasty, but if I can give a bit of friendly advice here - my doctor advised against decongestants. She said they only make things worse, even though they alleviate the symptoms temporarily.

The best treatment is to fill a bowl with boiling water, add a few drops of olbas oil, or vics, and put your face over it with a towel to hold in the steam. Breath this in for a few minutes, then blow your nose. Repeat this procedure several times a day to help clear all the infection out. Decongestants make it all stay in the cavities of your face, and make the infection last longer. You may need antibiotics, maybe not, but this will clear the infection out quicker.

Oh, and avoid dairy products until the infection has cleared, because they make the body create more mucus, which is what you are trying to get rid of.
it's a sinus infection.... it's very common and you could have gotten it from anywhere
Infection in sinuses= could be related to a cold or allergy- mucus builds up and gets infected- and can hurt= I like to do the saline rinses- and no bad side effects= drink lots of water to thin mucus- D
Infection in the sinus cavaties. You could feel it behind your nose, in your jaw, under your eyes. You'll probably have greenish colored snot & maybe a fever. Take decongestants, use a humidifier, and drink lots of fluids.
Who knows how you got it. Probably allergies or a cold led to mucous (snot) and it stayed in your system & led to an infection. You'll get over it soon. Probably in less than a week.
Sinus is mainly caused by lowering of temperature when the Sun moves toward southern hemisphere. Mostly, it is transitory. Because it affects the endocrine system or some glands, that tends sometimes to cause and aggrevate pain with movements of the body.
