I have a perrennial clogged nose. Is this sinusitis? What is the best remedy for this condition? Get a bulb syringe, make a solution of salt and baking soda (scant amounts) and squeeze the solution into your nostril to drain your nose and sinuses. After three or four days, it will be like a miracle. You have allergic rhinitis. Sinusitis is usually classified as a sinus infection. Take a Claretin D to take care of the problem. I used to have problems with my sinus being congested... even used to get the feeling that I had an ocean between my ears. I went to the doctor, and they gave me a spray for the nose, medicine for congestion and something for the headaches this situation caused me. But I really felt better when I was treated by an accupuncturist. I was not into it at all, and never believed anyone who said anything good about this alternative, but... what can I say... it helped me! I have tried everything. What works for me is Simillassin Allergy Sinus spray & Bi Yan Pian tea pills <Plum Flower Brand>. Use the spray as often as necessary at first. Use it all the time and then if it's working, you just notice you don't need it as much. Finally, you won't need it unless there's bad pollen or whatever casues your problem. What medications have you been taking? It is possible to become dependant on decongestant nasal sprays like Afrin (oxymetazoline). If you used oxymetazoline for more than 3 days, you could be experiencing what is called "rebound congestion". If you haven't been taking these sprays, it could be something more serious like a deviated nasal septum. I would get it checked out by a doctor. Clinical Pharmacology |
