What can a person drink or eat to act as natural mucolytic to help alleviate sinusitis? I assume we're talking about chronic stuffiness, right? If so, I find that, in my personal experience, it's not so much what I eat as it is what I avoid. If you were my client, I'd suggest that you keep a food diary for a couple of weeks and see if you spot any patterns. Common foods that cause stuffiness include refined starches, rice and dairy. (A plate of spaghetti will do it to me every time!) Best wishes. high levels of mint or citrus. Suck on lime/lemons or chew on mint leaves... ....and think of the fresh breath! Hot pepper soup is great. Try this tea:add 1" grated fresh garlic,2 pods cardamom and 15 peppercorns to a cup of water and boil till reduced to half. You can drink this or make tea out of it.Inhalations are great too. Lemon and ginger infusesd in warm water is great, and you should try and avoid dairy products as these are mucus producing. If you can avoid alcohol too that would help. Love and light - Amara xx Hot and spicy curry like vindaloo! Hot lemonade is the cure for anything. Drink some of that and you can hock up a lot of junk. That's what I did for chronic bronchitis when I was in South America. It works. hi, I am a sinusistis expert...I had it from many years and I tried several treatments for it allopathy, homeopathy, ayurveda, yoga u name it...... now at last one treatment works wonders and that is called sutraneti, see in the links as for what u can eat, everyday, drink luke warm lemon water along with a teaspoon of honey, u wont belive how effective this is.......... Its bascially vitamin "c" (get vitamin c, lemon, mint watever , pills) it will reduce ur nose related problems (allergies, sinusistis, running nose......) |
