What other Antibiotic other than 2000 ml dosage Augmentin would be as effective for severe sinusitis? |
What other Antibiotic other than 2000 ml dosage Augmentin would be as effective for severe sinusitis? I know they give Zithromax for some respiratory infections...not sure about sinusitis...also Levaquin as a general all purpose antibiotic (full spectrum)...but if they do a culture and sensitivity test... they will know what antibiotic will work.. (rhinitis web) ask your doctor for ceftin i agree, ceftin is awesome. that drug made me feel like god, except for the explosive diarrhea. but yeah. look up irrigation on google. you really shouldn't be dosing yourself with that much antibiotics all the time. studies have shown that irrigation is equal in efficacy to antibiotics. levaquin has good penetration into the sinuses, although in my opinion lots of side effects. Zithromax is not for sinusitis. Are you followed by an ENT doctor? Do you get alot of these? Perhaps you have some anatomical anomaly or poor ostia (doors to sinuses) that need widening for drainage. 2000 mg is a pretty unusual dose also. need more info here |
