Sinusitis, feels like big dirt clods up your nose?

I went ot the doctor and was told I have this, Its been a constant feeling of dirt clods way up in my nose, I turn my head upside down and blow..blow..blow but nothing comes out, is this normal? I also have tryed steaming my face and breathing it in, shoved q-tips up there and nothing!
its driving my crazy! doctor gave me antiboitics but still no relief, could it be something else? thanks!
