Does anyone have a cure for sinusitis?

I've tried inhaling and using nasal washes to no avail. I just feel tired and lethargic and don't seem to be able to get rid of the congestion in my sinuses.

Depends how long you have had this episode and if it is a one off or a recurrent problem.

Most one off acute episodes start off as a viral illness and then may go on to develop a secondary bacterial infection. Despite this they seem little affected or shortened by courses of antibiotics. 25% of patients are still symptomatic at 2 weeks no matter what you do.

It the episode has been present for more that 4 weeks or is one of many, then the problem may be one of a more chronic rhinitis which may benefit from nasal steroids in the medium to long term. Source(s): GP for more years than I care to remember

when mine became so bad that even my teeth ached (apparently a classic symptom), I went to my GP. she prescribed antibiotics and lots of liquids & rest since apparently it's notorious for making you tired. AND .. signed off work for a week, which was a bonus!

Try Sinutab - it worked for me when I had sinusitis.
If it doesn't clear up soon, go to the doctors.
When mine was really, really bad my doctor prescribed me a short course of steroids. It worked too, and I've not had it that bad since
Try an antihistamine available from your chemist. I take it when I have a cold and it just decongests everything- it can sometimes make some people drowsy so try it out before you start driving any heavy machinery!
Try some "over-the-counter" hay fever medications. Often sinusitis is caused by an allergy of some kind. Ask the pharmacist. As a last resort, visit your doctor who will probably prescribe an hay fever type medication.........round and round we go.......You're tired and lethargic because your brain isn't getting enough oxygen because your sinuses are blocked etc etc
