How can you protect yourself from skin cancer?

By avoiding too much sun (particularly between the hours of 10am-4pm), by wearing a hat in order to shade your face, by using sunscreen with a good SPF (15 or higher), by avoiding tanning salons, avoid sunburns (especially in children and adolescents, this may help the spread of the cancer), and covering you body the most of the time. A monthly self examination and a clinical examination every 3 years is recommended for people between the ages of 20-39 and annually for those over 40....
Uv rays have been proven to damage the skin, give wrinkles and provoque skin cancer. These are the major ways in order to protect yourself from skin cancer.

sunblock and protective clothing.
oh and wear hats and such so they can protect your scalp.

umbrellas, sun screen (every day even cloudy), avoid a lot of sun exposer.

Wear at least spf 15 sunscreen if out in the sun. Really anything higher than spf 15 is pointless. Do not sun bathe and do not do tanning booths.

stay away from tanning beds; when you are out in the sun, use a good sun screen. probably spf 35 or higher depending on how sensitive your skin is. AVOID BURNING! :)

Avoid sunbeds & use sun cream when exposed to the sun.

Keep an eye on any suspicious moles, if you notice changes (growth, darkening, bleeding) get your doctor to check it out

Smoke at least a pack of cigarettes a day. Then if you still have some spare time left over after that, chug some booze.
