I had skin cancer removed last week...?

it was a squalmus cell carcinoma, and now I have a blistered area about the size of a nickel. What happens next? Does this scab over and fall off? Will there be a scar? It's on my forehead and covered with a bandaid now, but how long is the healing process? I'm tired of people asking me what happened to me face. :(

How was it removed. It sounds like they froze it. It will heal much over the course of a few weeks. You may have a slight discoloration for several months. Make sure you protect the area from sun to prevent permanent discoloration. With your history you need to be very careful about the sun period.

this would be something to ask the doctor
i would think it would fall off

yes, it will scab over and fall off, and yes there will likely be a scar.

I had one removed on my face too like 5 yeras ago , and it takes about a good 3-4 months before the purple color calms down ... I know it sucks , and people were questioning me all the time too ! but It will get better ! do not pull the scab off !!! will leave a bad scar !! Put neosporin on it constantly, and let air get on it , will scab up faster!

it should take about 8 days to scab and then a few more to fall off.. yes you will have a scar. After a few weeks ask your Doctor if you can apply vitamin E to help decrease any chances of scarring nd be mindful to wear sunscreen on your skin!

i had a biopsi and then the cancer mole removed from my arm about a month ago. i had the same diagnosis and i can tell you mine is the size of a dime still and its pink in color. it still looks very scaley and isnt done completely healing yet. I know im gonna have a scar by the way it looks. im not sure in your case everyones skin healing is different. just keep applying bacitracin ointment and it should heal fine. good luck and it sucks i know, believe me.

The blister will pop and the skin will come off and heal in nicely like a small blister but it takes several weeks to months so dont be alarmed.
