Has anyone ever got skin cancer from tanning beds? |
i hear about it all the time but do u know anyone who actually got cancer from a tanning bed? I think you could. Why don't you do the spray on tan instead? I think that would be much safer. I don't know anyone but I'm pretty sure you can. Excess UV exposure burns the skin, kills the cells and eventually leads to cancer. To avoid it just tan in moderation, lightly toasted is just as sexy as dark chocolate brown. Also, natural sunlight looks and feels a lot better. my aunt got skin cancer about a year ago from tanning but im not sure if it was from a tanning bed. Tanning beds are extremely bad for your skin so be careful when you go tanning. I am in Melbourne Australia, and a few months ago, a young girl named Clare Oliver died from sunbed exposure. Before her death she mounted a HUGE campaign to heighten awareness, which has since put a huge dent in the industry. Now, on the way to work, I see signs in the windows of tanning salons offering sunbed tanning at half price etc... yes. my stepmom go it in her leg. and my best friend's mom got it in her leg also. tanning beds are not healthy Excessive irradiation of skin such as UV rays can cause skin cancer yeah, i dont personally know anyone but if you google it studies show amazingly scary #'s If you are thinking sun tanning is the only reason behind cancer then you are wrong. You may also attain skin cancer from tanning beds. Your indoor tanning is as harmful as outdoor tanning in the sun. Therefore, think twice before you visit your nearby tanning salon next time. The tanning lamps and bulbs used in tanning beds emit the same harmful UV or ultraviolet rays as emitted by the sun. These radiations are basically responsible for the Melanoma or Nonmelonoma cancers. Over exposure to tanning lamps and tanning bulb lights reduce the body's ability to produce the DNA. yep a bunch of people get skin cancer from tanning |
