P.S youre not stupid. i knwo how you feel, so many things give you freaking cancer that its hard to believewell its illegal to spend money in cuba or smoke cuban cigars. this is a law passed by the present president.

Absolutely YES. There is no such thing as safe tanning anymore than safe smoking. It does not mean you will get skin cancer, only that your risk will be increased. There are several problems with tanning beds, such as variability of UVB exposure, intensity of exposure, and the fact that most do it with minimal to no clothes, so some areas exposed are ones usually not hit by the sun!

UVA rays penetrate skin deeply and contribute to leathering of skin as you age.

Risk of getting cancer is determined by too many unknown variables, but intensity/severity of exposure, duration of exposure, family history, and other genetic factors contribute to your overall risk. You can't know this risk, so why risk it?

Tanning from a social standpoint looks nice; it offers the body NO ADVANTAGES however. UV rays damage DNA in cells... that is not a good thing.

God bless, best wishes

Exposure to UV rays can give you cancer, and tanning beds give you unprotected exposure to UV rays. So, yes.

Most people don't get skin cancer until they're in their 30s, 40s, 50s, but it's possible to get it much sooner. I've heard of people getting it in their teens.
