I've had a spot on my upper back for yrs now and maybe Im going crazy but can it be skin cancer?

Heres a picture of it that I put up on photobucket. Its flat, it does not pertrude.

It's hard to tell much from the picture. But, it doesn't really look like cancer. There are a lot of things that causes spots on the skin. So, what I would do is check with my doctor the next time I see him. They see skin spots all day long, so they know which ones to test.
