Difference between basal cell skin cancer and squamous cell?

I only know that basal is the most common and least dangerous one of the skin cancer as it doesn't spread, squamous cell is still better than melanoma but i think a little more tricky to treat than basal cell. I had one basal cell removed 2 years ago.

Squamous are located in epithelial cells in the upper layer of the epidermis while basal cells are located in basal cells in the lowest level of the epidermis.

Basal cell has a very high cure rate but can be very locally destructive if ignored and allowed to grow. Squamous cells are usually easy to cure if treated promptly but they do have the ability to spread downward and also to metastasize elsewhere besides the skin. Basal cells are the most common skin cancer and account for about 750K cases of skin cancer while squamous account for between 50-100 thousand cases each year.

Basal and squamous cells are in different layers of the skin with the latter being deeper I think therefore harder, but not impossible, to treat.
