Annoyed About Skin Cancer Worries When Talking About Sunbeds??

Hiya, just wondering if anyone else is p*ssed off by the amount of people telling you that you're gonna die by doing stuff such as using a sunbed??
Im sorry but I really find the whole thing pathetic. I mean no1 cares too much about people who smoke or drink and they are blatetently just as dangerous. I mean alcohol WILL kill you before skin cancer as many people die 20 years or so from sun exposure (if they get it) as heavy drinkers die in the matter of 3 to 5 years
I know it's a random question but, it really winds me up.
I think i'l just not do anything or go outside or smoke or drink and sit in a forest, jsut to make sure I never get ill.

And I'm sorry to hear an 18 died from it but your a nurse?? And people have car accidents, but people don't try and stop every1 from driving. And was it sunbed related??

Sorry my friend but you are misinformed. People can die from skin cancer very quickly. A friend of mine did. Yes there does appear to be to much coverage, but all the media follow each other. With all the warnings around on so many things why do people still smoke , drink, drive madly (I'm guilty of that) , eat processed food etc. its because it is a part of life. Like you I get ound up by many issues, especially all the ones about food programs on TV.

Well, they HAVE to have something new(ish) each week with which to "nanny" us all, otherwise what would all the do-gooders be doing.
By the way, have a look how you spelled 'blatantly'......

yeh i know what you mean! everythings a danger! when we walk out of our front door in the mornings its a danger, when we cross the road its a danger, when we drink, smoke, use sunbeds, drive and do everyday tasks theirs dangers but its life and people know the risks!

Maybe you are right. Everything has it's dangers. On the other hand, if exposure to cancer causing things is avoidable it's good to avoid it.
