Do skin lighteners really cause skin cancer, and which ones in specific?

why would you want to lighten your skin?

skin cancer in skin lightening is caused by products with hydroquinone, mercury and steroids.. these ingredients has been banned in europe and asia because of their carcinogenic properties.. here's the list of unsafe skin lighteners for your reference -
