Has anyone had moles that changed colors removed that wasn't skin cancer? |
I have to a mole that got alittle darker removed..doesn't mean I have cancer does it..i'm scared dont worry, I have had some removed because they were irregular shape. I worried too and everything was fine. Its good you are getting it taken care of. I am sure you will be fine. Take care : ) If it had just changed colors, if it was cancer, it was removed. Most skin cancer like that has not become systemic (spread through your body) and if your doctor wasn't worried about it beyond just removing the mole, then you don't need to worry about it. But, do use sunscreen and check your moles every now and then to make sure they haven't changed any. Nope. Not at all... I had 2 very discolored moles removed, and they were both benign (non cancerous). I see patients every day that have all kinds of moles removed that are fine. Your doctor probably just wants to remove it now (while it's early), that way it doesn't turn into melanoma (skin cancer) later in life. He's probably just being cautious. You should be fine. Usually they are fine - they will test them just to be sure though. You probably have nothing to worry about. Sure. I've had 5 moles removed over the years. All were okay. Better safe than sorry. You're smart to have them checked. Good job. |
