My friend had a block dissection and has skin cancer again is this treatable? |
My friend sunbathed a lot years ago and had a mole removed as it was possibly cancerous. 25 years later she was diagnosed with skin cancer and had 29 lymph nodes removed from her armpit. She has been back to the hospital and they have found another fatty lump which they believe is malignant. Is the prognosis poor? Skin cancer is a nasty animal. If she had cancerous lymph nodes, the ones they removed, that means the cancer has spread or the big word metastasized. this isn't the best situation because it is harder to fight cancer the second time round but if your friend remains strong fingers crossed the cancer ll go away though i must point out that it is hard the second time round It is impossible to answer your question without knowing the type of cancer your friend has and the stage of the disease. |
