Does a black MOLE later turned out a bigger whitemole a SKIN CANCER?

i'm 18 years old now. i think when i was 9 years old, i had a small black mole in my back.then later my siblings noticed the mole started to form a white circle around the mole.then years later the mole started to disappear.the white circle now became the mole itself..bigger..i wasn't that worried thinking it was normal.but now i realize it's a serious matter and it could be a skin cancer. i'm afraid of going to the hospital for check-ups because i don't think i'm that strong to face whatever the doctors may find. please if anyone knows anything about my case, please do inform me. thanks a lot.

If this mole has been there all these years and it was cancer then you would know it by now. I would still get it looked at just to ease your mind but skin cancer does not sit around for nine years and do nothing to your health. The signs of skin cancers are A, B, C, D, Ee
A-asymetry....is it round or irregular...irregular is a sign
B-border....is the border of the mole shaped funny
C-color....different coloring or a change in color
D-diameter....has it grown larger from its original shape
E-elevated....is is elevated

Again, I would get it checked to ease your mind but 9 years is a long time for it to sit and do nothing. The good news is that it can be removed, an ointment applied and treated. Go see the doc and take a loved one with you. My best to you!!!

You should get the mole looked at now, don't be afraid as it can take years for a mole to change and become cancerous - just think, you may have it removed long before it is a threat to your health, but if you wait years it could then be deadly.

How terrible it would be if you did nothing and then years from now you found out it was malignant and that you could have had it removed when you were 18 with no trouble at all!

Take care of it now!

I'm not positive, but It may be an infection called ringworm, that can be treated, and goes away in a few weeks. But I would still see a dermatologist. even if it is skin cancer, it can be removed. dont worry (:

Just see a dermatologist to play it safe.

I would get it removed, just to be on the safe side.
