What concerns you guys more when you're out in the sun: aging your skin or getting skin cancer? Why? ? |
OR do you not care either way? well i would be concern about both, I'm a skin care specialist. I care about both, but I guess aging is the more immediate concern for me. Aging effects everyone, but many people don't get skin cancer. My grandparents on one side of my family have both had many skin cancers, but they are very fair, and my other side has darker skin so I think I'm less at risk. Out of the cancers to get, though, I would much rather get skin cancer than an internal cancer. Skin cancer can just be removed and it usually doesn't look too bad. Other cancers you need radiation therapy and medicines and all that. On the other side of my family it's ovarian cancer.... so I'm hoping I get the skin cancer gene. Definitely skin cancer. My mom has had several outbreaks of skin cancer from going out in the sun a lot when she was younger; this means I'm probably more prone to getting sun cancer than the average person. Though I love to tan, and I'm very ignorant about putting sunscreen on, I should probably be more careful. I also don't want to look TERRIBLY old when I grow older, but it's much less important than skin cancer is to me; skin cancer is life threatening, wrinkles aren't. both go hand in hand, the vitamins are good for your skin, but there are so many cases of cancer its scary, then if you don't get cancer, you will look like a sun dried raisin lol getting skin cancer because you can die from skin cancer. there are different types of skin cancer, some far worse then others and it DOES KILL! saggy skin doesn't kill from what i've heard lol. cancer, because I personally know a few people with skin cancer cancer!
I don't care because putting on a good sunscreen prevents that. I love the sun :) Both! |
