Does this look like skin cancer?

When do you think I should get it removed, if at all? I am still pretty young and I think it has been there since I was a kid. It has always been the biggest mole on me. I've taken pictures of it so I can monitor it for growth.

I have gotten a sunburn once when I was 16, and a minor sunburn again a few years later.

The only thing I have against removing is that I don't want it to leave a scar and I kind of like it (I see it as a beauty mark) but of course if it's dangerous I will definitely remove it.

I'm only considering serious answers from qualified individuals, not "my aunt who had skin cancer had a mole that looked like that" or whatever.

The fact that you were born with it is a good sign.

The fact that your dermatologist isn't worried is a good sign.

You are aware of the risk, you are monitoring for changes, you are doing all the right things.

I had a similar mole removed "just in case", on biopsy it was benign.

If you don't trust your dermatologist, get a 2nd opinion, but get it from a qualified practitioner, not know-it-alls on the net.

It doesn't look cancerous, and so long as you monitor it for changes, you can keep your beauty mark. If you notice any changes, then get it reevaluated as soon as possible.

I would definitely get a second opinion on this one! Here is a website you can look at..http://www.skincancer-info.com/compariso...

Yes I'm pretty sure that is cancer, better go to your doctor

Um, I would definatley get that one checked out! Better to be safe... Good luck, and let us know what you decide to do :)
