Are SunBeds Responsible for Skin Cancer? |
Are the increased use of sunbeds resposible for the increase of malignant melanoma in 15-34 years olds? well, Im not being lazy, I have ben searching for HOURS.. seriously. According To the World Healt Organisation and Cancer Research yes. Using a tanning bed increases the risk of skin cancer and there are other risks too, but they are not responsible for it. The responsibility lies with the person who chooses to use one. Actually it is pretty easy to find something to prove that, either you are being lazy and are expecting other people to do it for you or you haven't looked properly. I had to write a paper on it, so i know there are a lot of sources. There is no 'safe' level of UV exposure, I notice on a Sunday the increase in questions posted by teenagers who want help with their homework which has been left at the last minute and is due in on Monday morning!! We are no here to do your home work, the idea of homework, is that YOU research the given topic and learn. You won't learn this way skin cancer exixted for centuries before sunbeds so they can't be resonsible for it's existence but they do contribute to to a lot of cases. UV light from the sun or sunbeds can be a major contributory factor. Not all cases of skin cancer can be blamed on sunbeds but the fact that they expose the skin to a higher concentration of unfiltered UV rays than the sun does means that they cause more of a risk of cancer than the sun. yes it can be responsible for skin cancer but that isen the only thing that can course skin cancer |
