Are SunBeds Responsible for Skin Cancer?

Are the increased use of sunbeds resposible for the increase of malignant melanoma in 15-34 years olds?

I need sources for an essay that prove or dis-prove this, so I can use them as evidence (I cannot find them anywhere!)

YOU MUST include sources of info
Im not asking for spoken advice, I am asking for sources

well, Im not being lazy, I have ben searching for HOURS.. seriously.

But I need valid respectable sources.. to find whetehr its responsible.. not whetehr it causes cancer.

According To the World Healt Organisation and Cancer Research yes.
Dr Moseley of Dundee has been quoted in several newspapers (Times, Guardian, Telegraph) as saying that for people who have used sunbeds regularly when under the age of 35 increase the risk of skin cancer by 2.7%
Cancer Research say there is no such thing as a safe suntan from using sunbeds.
Google risk of cancer from sunbeds. Or sunbeds/cancer risks.

Using a tanning bed increases the risk of skin cancer and there are other risks too, but they are not responsible for it. The responsibility lies with the person who chooses to use one.

It has been a long time since I was in school, but I would think if you are to use the Internet for your research learning how to search it should be a priority. I wish the internet was around when I was in school it is much easier than going to the library. Anyway here is a link to get you started.

Actually it is pretty easy to find something to prove that, either you are being lazy and are expecting other people to do it for you or you haven't looked properly. I had to write a paper on it, so i know there are a lot of sources.

I'll get some of the links i used.

^ That took me all of about 5 minutes, so yes they are available if you are not being lazy.

Edit: Bupa is a respectable source, i'm not sure if you are in the UK or not, but basically bupa is a private health care service. Some are articles so you can just give examples from them of people and some are the cancer UK website. Have fun writing your essay, i hateddd writing mine lol

There is no 'safe' level of UV exposure, I notice on a Sunday the increase in questions posted by teenagers who want help with their homework which has been left at the last minute and is due in on Monday morning!! We are no here to do your home work, the idea of homework, is that YOU research the given topic and learn. You won't learn this way

skin cancer exixted for centuries before sunbeds so they can't be resonsible for it's existence but they do contribute to to a lot of cases. UV light from the sun or sunbeds can be a major contributory factor.

Not all cases of skin cancer can be blamed on sunbeds but the fact that they expose the skin to a higher concentration of unfiltered UV rays than the sun does means that they cause more of a risk of cancer than the sun.

yes it can be responsible for skin cancer but that isen the only thing that can course skin cancer
