Why is skin so susceptible to cancer?

Why is skin so susceptible to cancer?

If I were to say it was more susceptible, I would say because it is the largest organ your body has. It also does not get the protection it needs from the sun.

Provided you take care of your skin, you are less likely to have problems.

Ensure you wear cream with SPF factor (minimum 15, although 30+ is better, and slapping on a factor 8 and repeating - it is still Factor 8). Always wear cream on face, even on overcast days, and the 'nasty' rays can still get through/

Wear hat if sun is high.

Drink water so skin is hydrated

And don't lie in sun tanning, or use a salon sunbed. Use fake tan - that's what the celebs do.

We used to admire pale skins, until Coco Chanel came along - see story on www.after-cancer.com

Skin covering is the largest organ we as humans have. It's the first line of defense is it get the brunt of all chemical and irritants on it before any other part of the body.

(A) it covers you from head to toe
(B) it is the only organ in your body that is constantly exposed to a known carcinogen: the sun.

Pretty elementary, actually.

The skin isn't any more susceptible to cancer as other parts of our body.
