WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF YOU HAVE ' SKIN CANCER' ?

My friend has been checked for skin cancer,the results have came back possitive,what could possibly happen to him now ? x

Treatment may include surgical removal, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or biological therapy, depending on the type of skin cancer.

I'm sorry to hear this I hope things turn out ok for your friend, cancer survival rates are very high these days try not to worry and ignore insensitive people on here

(ANS) No.1 first of all there are hundreds of different types of cancers, and NOT all of them are life threatening OK!

No.2 Skin cancer's can be benign and definitely nothing to be overly concerned about, they may not look very nice but they are not dangerous and these moles or cancerous growths can be surgically removed safely too.

No.3 However, lets be honest here, the form of skin cancer that can be worrying and can be more life threatening is a "Malignant Melanoma" this is an aggressive form of skin cancer that needs to be detected ASAP! and treated ASAP !! too. But it can often be treated quite successfully with drugs and radio therapy if needed.

No.4 Age and general or overall health are factors in how well a person responds to treatments. If they are smokers or non smokers? If there is any past history of cancer in the wider family i.e. a genetic element,etc.

blah blah is clearly ignorant ignore them. if you have a positive result don't panic, there are many different kinds and different treatment methods, my dad frequently has skin cancers and they are removed and its all good, no problem, otherwise there'll be a treatment regime for your friend and it shouldn't be too scary, don't let the word cancer freak you out, theres far too much stigma attached to it, success rates are improving all the time.

It depends on how advance the cancer is. Usually, if it's caught early, it can just be cut by performing a surgical incision underneath the skin and remove the cancer cells. Other then that, if it's far gone, then he'll need Chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy.

the good news for your friend is that skin cancer, is the type of cancer that you are less likely to die from. Lung cancer is the one you die from more rapidly.

Some types are very aggressive and deadly, others less so. Your friend needs to see an oncologist.

Well nothing can't help him now if it was early detection they could have did something
