I'm 14.... will I get skin cancer, etc.?

I go to the tanning bed for 20 minutes anywhere from 1-4 times a week. It just depends on how often I can get there, but basically I go 1-4 times a week. I go for 20 minutes and these tanning beds have brand new bulbs because the owner frequently replaces the bulbs. Will I get skin cancer like this? How long would it take?

To be on the safe side it might perhaps be better to forget about tanning beds.

Most of us get enough or even too much exposure to the Sun and too much UV radiation from the Sun can cause skin cancer which is very common these days as the extent of UV radiation keeps increasing all the time due to the greenhouse effect.

the tanning beds have uv lights wich is found in the sun. you can get cancer but it various person to person, like family genitics, exp my aunt lays out in sun all day and is basically black. shes been doing this for 20 years and shes fine. my uncle tanned a little when he went to C.A. he soon after got blotches on his face and doc said it was skin cancer. so if i were you id cut back a little but dnt worry to much.

no it proven that it does not in fact give you skin cancer the results that said it does had errors in them
so dont stress out
but dont spend too long in them as they can increase any micro uv rays absorbed from the sun but not
it is not the tanning bed that will give you skin cancer

you have a good chance
