Skin Cancer? |
I have a light brown spot on my upper right breast. The spot is not raised at all like a mole, it doesn't itch or hurt or anything. Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Some people have said it may be an age spot, but I'm only 21 so I don't know if that's possible. The only medication I'm taking is trycyclin lo...a form of birth control. It's probably a newly developed mole. I have one too. may ignore it.wait and watch sounds like a sun-spot. it's like an age spot but induced from sun exsposure if it looks like a staining of the skin, its a new mole. If it raises and turns blackish in color, then worry. Skin cancers are red and blotchy sores, other types look like clear bumps remember your ABCD's! *Asymmetry - one half unlike the other half. *Border irregular - scalloped or poorly circumscribed border. *Color varied from one area to another; shades of tan and brown; black; sometimes white, red or blue *Diameter larger than 6mm as a rule (diameter of a pencil eraser). i am a nerd who loves to surf the net and read! If it is not something a doctor can diagnose, then it is probably a baby space ships expanding into this reality.... just kidding. My gord . It might be a beauty spot or a SUPER freckle. Have you been around anyone else with this? A biter? So doctor first, skin specialist next, ufo society next, run for the hills ant time after that.... You could.... no just be sensible and see a medic. Whatever you do, I bet it's curable. Watch to whether it grows or not; if it remains the same size even after a week, just ignore it A change on the skin is the most common sign of skin cancer. This may be a new growth, a sore that doesn't heal, or a change in an old growth. Not all skin cancers look the same. Skin changes to watch for: Small, smooth, shiny, pale, or waxy lump Firm, red lump Sore or lump that bleeds or develops a crust or a scab Flat red spot that is rough, dry, or scaly and may become itchy or tender Red or brown patch that is rough and scaly Sometimes skin cancer is painful, but usually it is not. Checking your skin for new growths or other changes is a good idea. A |
