Can you get skin cancer at any age?

Can you get skin cancer at any age?

YES. But it is more common in adults.

Melanoma (the deadly type of skin cancer) is the number one cause of cancer death in women aged 25-30 and the third most common cancer in 15-39 year olds.

Prevention and early detection is crucial! Any abnormal spot or mole needs to be examined by a dermatologist - especially if it changes, grows, itches, or bleeds.

Melanoma is very treatable in its early stages, but can be fatal if it is left untreated and spreads.

If you think you might have melanoma, please see your doctor immediately. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
