Do i have skin cancer? |
i have a reddish dot on the back of my shoulder that originally i thought was just a zit but its been a couple months and it is still there. it now has a whiteish dot in the middle that looks like some kind of deformed white head. it is sensative to the touch and sometimes hurts rubbing under my shirt. im going to see a doctor but i just wondered what people thouhgt. You'll go to the doctor and he'll do a biopsy of your weird zit thing. The look on his face when he first sees it won't seem too promising. He'll say its deffinitley something; But you'll just have to wait for the test results to come back and now then you'll have stiches and bandages on your shoulder after he takes a big chunk out. But it won't hurt that much though. And I'm sure you'll be fine. And it will be benign, and everything will be ok. This is probably NOT 'skin cancer' but is simply a 'really bad pimple' or small 'cyst' that needs to be 'seen' and possibly removed. Skin cancer is not 'red' ... it's usually a 'mole' that is really dark brown or black and has an 'uneven edge' and is 'rough' when you feel it. That can be 'malignant melanoma.' There are also things called 'keratosis' that look more like 'freckles' but are a tiny bit darker, and they are also a bit larger, and frequently they 'weep' pus and are 'sore' and those can turn to 'skin cancer' and need to be 'watched' by a doctor. Keratosis is the 'skin cancer' that most 'old people' get, and it's easily 'cured' by 'surgical removal'. I've had malignant melanoma twice, and I know more about 'skin cancer' than most because of that. Don't let the word scare you ("Cancer")... Whatever it is see a dok, treat it... and move on... Some people become more sick with words than because of a treatable condition. Good luck dude. Just go to the dermatologist. The people on yahoo answers are too stupid for this, unless they're dermatologists. nope....but u should prolly GO SEE A DOCTOR |
