Does cancer move from one spot to another? How can you determine skin cancer?

For the last 2 years, I have been dealing with a weird scaley sore that won't go away. It is painful right now, but most of the time, it is just ugly looking. It is on my nose.
I keep meaning to talk to my doctor about it, but I keep forgetting. (I have short term memory problems and if it isn't bothering me I forget.)

Should I be worried? COULD it be cancer? I've tried to put neosporin on it..but it just moves.
I am fair skinned, I don't spend much time in the sun.

Spookykid, why do you say things that are not true? Skin cancer is NO rapid killer. Why do you scare the hell out of Roosha? Very disrespectful.

Roosha, call your doctor, please don't worry until you know what's going on.

Yes, it could be cancer, but it could also be something else. I have had skin cancer myself so I know how you feel.

Good luck to you and don't let people like Spookykid scare you.
Sounds like a wart, no fun.
Please print out this question, tape it to your phone and call the doctor tomorrow. He/she is the only one who can diagnose your problem with your nose.
It could be cancer however it may also be that it won't heal because you have diabetes, you should go to the Doctors!
Cancer does spread. The process is metastasizing. The cancer goes to another cell and repeats the process, reinfecting another cell.

Metastasizing cells do not uproot and move on the surface of the skin, or the epidermis. They do this mostly inside of the body.
caner can move from one place to another, however not all at once i dont think.
The sore is possibly a cancer and you should see your doctor asap as early detection is the best treatment for cancer.
It may be non-cancerous but that is just a possibility.

Please check with your doctor as only they can give u the correct answer.
Check some internet sites that show melonoma (skin cancer) pictures. I have the same problem in 2 places on my face and one on the calf of my leg (that is never exposed to the sun). When I saw the pictures, I knew that wasn't what I had....For peace of mind, ask a Dr.
