Are you still at risk for skin cancer if you apply lots of sunscreen?

Are you still at risk for skin cancer if you apply lots of sunscreen?

my mom spend every weekend on the beach

shes like really dark

i dont think she knew about sunscreen
so dont worry about it so much

didnt you hear everything causes cancer? but then maybe not?
But you'll get cancer if you don't get enough sun.
Yes. There are other causes of skin cancer besides sun. Also you may not be applying it where it goes. The sunburn may have happened when you were a baby; out of your control.
But you can control most of it - reduce your risk greatly by using sunscreen.
yes...spf refers to time sunscreen is effective, if you remain in the sun without reapplying then you are at risk.
The important thing is not the quantity of cream that you apply but the grade of UV protection that such cream has..ie.+15,+18,+24 the highest the grade of protection the safer you are.
Everyone is at risk for skin cancer. Using sunscreen helps reduce the risk of skin cancer, but it doesn't mean you definitely won't get it. Spilling carcinogenic chemicals on your skin is a great way to increase your risk, and there are lots of more realistic ways that someone can end up with skin cancer besides exposure to UV radiation. Among other things, people can be genetically predisposed to various types of cancer including skin cancers.
I believe there is still risk, but the risk will reduce.
