I read somewhere vitiligo patients do not get skin cancer.is it true?

is so, why is there no research done to find a link between vitiligo and immunity from skin cancer.

i dont know about this one...isnt vitiligo a lack of pigment?....i dont see why they would have immunity to skin cancer but i would think that having one skin problem is enough for a person to handle
No, that is NOT true. They actually are at higher risk because their skin lacks the normal melanocytes which create pigment.

The whitened areas are more prone to cellular damage from UV rays. Subsequently, the person is MORE likely to develop skin cancer.
