I heard that it is important to get checked up for skin cancer signs. Do you just make appts w/a dermatologist

What do you need to tell the doctor? If there is no sign on my skin, but I just want to make sure that everything is okay.

just get a yearly check up, and keep an eye out for any thing obvios or that isnt right
Yes. Make an appt. with a dermatologist for a skin check. They will know what you mean. You should do it twice a year. I have had skin cancer 3 times and I didn't know it. The Dr. had to find it.
Just make an appointment for a check up!
They will make you get naked and look all over to make sure nothing looks weird. It's kind of awkward, but very important. Just tell them you want a checkup.

Good luck!
Yes, see a dermatologist. Simply tell the doctor that you want to be checked for skin cancer. The doctor knows the signs to look for that suggest skin cancer.

Best wishes.
Depending on what type of health insurance you have, your doctor may be a "gatekeeper'; and have to refer you to a specialist. If you have concerns, then you should do so right away. It's also good, even if you have nothing, for the dermatologist to get a 'baseline' view of your skin to detect any future changes.
