What does the spot look like?
1.) Has it been growing?
2.) Does it have irregula boarders?
3.) Are there raised edges?
4.) Are the edges assymterical?
5.) Are there any other colors mixed in with the red?

If you're concerned show it to a doctor... they'll either calm all your fears telling you it's a beauty mark, or they'll refer you to a dermatologist. Good Luck. :-) Source(s): I'm a premed major
If you have really had it for as long as you can remember it's probably a birth mark. I doubt that there's any need for you to be concerned unless there's been some major change in the red spot recently. If you're worried about it, ask your doctor. Most likely he'll tell you it's a harmless birth mark or a mole.
No, if it has been there as long as you can remember, provided you are not having dementia and can remember for a number of years back-- it is either a scar or birthmark.
Probably not as you've had it for along time. if it changes, however, do get it checked out.
