I live in an area of hard water, does hard water affect the health of my skin, and does it affect my cooking? |
I know hard water can cause mineral deposits on the hair, so I use a chealting shampoo, and my hair is improving. But what about hard water on the skin, does it affect the health of my skin? Also what about cooking?, i figured the heat used to cook will kill all impurities. I have the same problem, and Ive found my food tastes better when I cook with filtered or bottled water. For example, boil something in hot tap water....then look at your pan when its dry. You see the white stuff? Thats minerals. Dont know if that is good or bad, but I think it makes the food taste different. I noticed my skin is pretty drier in this house (than my old one with good water). My hair was also better looking in my old house, so I have to buy more expensive "fancy" shampoo. Hard water makes your skin dry and does add chemicals to what ever amount it absorbs during a shower or what not. As far as heating water, yes it kills germs and bacteria but as far as the chlorine and other minerals it won't be 100% pure unless you get a water filter, but that isn't 100% acurate. Neither are areas that don't have hard water |
