Will cutting dairy out of my diet improve my skin and general health? |
I know i need calcium etc but aside from that, I've got really bad acne (I'm on antibiotics) and read the hormones i dairy can upset the hormonal balance in our skin and affect our sebaceous glands, i'm going to attempt a nearly dairy free diet for a month and see how it goes. It might help. I guess the only way is to try it and see. If your skin improves when you cut it out, it might be your answer. If not, it could be lots of things. If you're concerned that it is something you're eating, you could try an elimination diet. Usually, you start by cutting everything out and then by gradually introducing things. This way, you can see which particular food or chemical is a problem. I think its best to go by the pyramid...you don't require a lot of dairy, but calcium is necessary in every ones diet...you don't need to take out a vital part of your diet to maintain healthy skin (im no doctor, its best to seek professional help) I had bad acne as do my kids - when we drink soda! I don't care what those "experts" say - food items can make you break out! you should take a suplement vitamin to get the needs that you will lose out on dairy prodcuts. you can try soy milk still I don't believe that cutting out dairy products will help in you battle with acne . Eating a lot of fruits will help. Try to not stress yourself, stressing will make your body imbalance, making the acnes worse. |
