Sleeping disorders. What could I have? |
For the past couple of days I have been waking up about every 5-25 minutes. I haven't been remembering any dreams. Although I lie in bed for 12 hours Possibly because of a lack of deep-sleep) I wake up very very tired physically and mentally. I have no idea what could possibly be happening. I'm not stressed. (Mentally NOR physically.) I have been continueing the same exact routine as always. NOthing has changed. If it continues, I'll probably make a chart of the times I wake up. I really hope you guys can possibly tell me if there is a sleeping disorder that matches me. I want to get back to getting sleep. Couple days? Don't worry about it. Get some extra exercise at least six hours before trying to sleep, no caffeine of any sort after noon, no sugar after six, and an OTC sleeping tab or two for one night to put you back on schedule and help you fall asleep without stressing over not falling asleep. Stressing about not sleeping at this point is the thing that's most apt to keep you up. Minimizing that stress is the main purpose of the OTC sleeping tab, which only is a big dose of antihisitimine. One night is because you shouldn't need drugs once you reset your clock. Continue with the extra exercise and work on figuring out if there actually is something stuck in your unconscious that is bothering you. I understand how you feel. I had the same problem a year ago, only I think I had it far worse at that time than what you are experiencing now since I wasn't able to completely fall asleep at all. That sent me to a complete panic mode and I got really anxious to the point I dreaded nighttime and going to bed. Of course, I waited for it to fix itself which was a big mistake because one month later, I still wasn't sleeping and really in bad shape already. To make a long story short, I had to seek a psychiatrist's help to get me to sleeping again. One year later, I'm sleeping better.:) This happens to me sometimes. Try going for a light jog or walk before bedtime. Getting the excess energy out usually makes me sleep solidly. I would use drugs as a last resort! You might also have some type of stressor or problem that you arent' aware of. If this has only happened a couple of days, and you're healthy, I don't think its anything to worry about. Go see a doctor after two weeks or so of sleeping funny. Good luck! Not sure exactly what sleeping disorder you have, but maybe you should talk to your doc and see if you can try some Ambien. It works great and you dont wake up groggy. u probably hav insomnia. take some honey or a mug of warm milk before u sleep and try not to get too stressed out. also try exersizing a couple of hours b4 u sleep. I feel your pain. I have chronic insomnia. It's a little better now but I was taking a wonderful Medication called Trazedone. Get up and go to bed at the same time every day. Don't nap. Don't read or watch tv in bed at bed time and don't have caffeine late in the day. you could have insomnia |
