Which sleep disorder do i have, any solutions to the problems??

As far as i know i've always had trouble having a perfect sleep routine, i would never sleep and wake up on the same time everyday day, the only time i've ever woken up fresh is after a nap otherwise Iam always lethargic. I've been living in a students hostel for quite sometime now. I can only sleep when everyone around me is asleep, slightest of movement or noise when Iam "almost sleep" would wake me up. But when i see other people around, they just seem to sleep whenever they wish. Even if i havent sleep for a day and am dead tired I cant sleep unless there is no slight noise. How can other people around me sleep so easily without getting bothered by anything?
Thre are times when I sleep as soon as i hit bed but wake up within five minutes with a palpitating pulse and then i cant sleep for the next 2 hours cuz Iam feeling alot more fresh. This has happened quite alot and I Can never understand why?
And lastly I seem to have tonnes of random thoughts in my mind when I go to bed, try my best to keep my mind off thoughts and try to be blank but cant get myself to do so. Any ideas there?

thanks alot

You suffer from insomnia.Get a pair of ear protectors and wear a night mask. Also a glass of milk, a cold-hot bath, a well ventilated room and a light dinner would be somethings to think of.

I have the exact same problem. I can lay awake all night and still not sleep the next night. Sometimes I have random thoughts, sometimes I feel like I fall asleep but wake up many, many, many times throughout the night. I've heard, but haven't tried, that if you get up and start writing things down that you're thinking about, that can help. That I think is stress. I've tried sleep music, it doesn't work for me, but might help you. Lavendar scented linen spray works pretty decent.

could be stress. try exercising for about an hour a day, like running or jogging. that can help relieve stress and clear your mind, and balance any hormones that might be causing the issue. also, if your physically exhausted it might help you fall asleep. i can't fall asleep whenever i want either, it usually takes me 30-45 minutes minimum, usually more like 1:30 hours. oh, and avoid caffeine
