I think I have a sleeping disorder. ?

I've always had issues sleeping and falling asleep, but recently I haven't been able to fall asleep or get tired until around 5:00 in the morning. Even then I have to force myself to sleep.
Should I be worried?

Hi, I understand you have a sleeping disorder. First, did you change you normal daily routine/activity ? by routine/activity i mean things like getting up, having breakfast, going to work/school, etc..

Reason i ask that is because you may have suddenly change you everyday activity, your body are used to those activity and resting at a certain time. when you suddenly change, it explain why you can't get any sleep. Think about it, maybe you got a new job or you work late because of school.

The second reason would be stress. this is a big one, and no one is off from it. but some people experience greater stress than others. you might think that those stress are just "little things", but as time progresses, those "little things" add up and will cause problem. Depression will follow for some.

Also, have something been bothering you lately ? because you stated you always had issues sleeping/falling asleep. so, you need to figure out what's been bothering you and get it out of your head. Solve your problem before it gets bigger.

what i would do is i would sit down at a nice quiet place, with a piece of paper, write down all the changes you had recently, write down what's been bothering you and what make you mad, what makes you sad, what makes you happy and so on. this helps you to see the differences in your life and could help you to find the culprit to your sleeping disorder.

If you can't coupe along with this, you can always consult your doctor, they will probably give you some sleeping pills. but i hope this helps. hope you can find an end to this, Good Luck

I don't know if you should be worried, but you should definitely go to the doctor and get some sleeping meds! I had sleeping problems myself that were mainly due to anxiety. I didn't realize I was even anxious, but I'd stay up all night because sub-consciously I'd be thinking about what I had to do the next day and how to work out this situation or that, yada yada. Anyway, it really started to effect my ability to function during the day. I wasn't as sharp and I didn't handle things well because my body was exhausted. Anyway, I finally went to the doctor. He gave me Ambien, and my life was different from that day forward! Sleeping is more important than you realize! So, go see someone and see what life is like on a full nights rest!!!

There are a lot of factors that can contribute to your sleeping issues. Your doctor will probably ask you a bunch of questions about your lifestyle.

If you're ingesting caffeine or sugar before you go to bed that can be a cause. Something like drinking a can of Coke a couple hours before you go to bed is enough to keep you up for hours. Even having a couple beers can end up making you have trouble getting to sleep.

You might also want to try not lying down in your bed unless you are going to sleep. Lying in bed and watching TV before you go to sleep will make it harder to sleep.

The most important aspect of getting healthy sleep is to maintain a even schedule. If you're waking up really early one day then sleeping in the next, that can really mess with your sleep patterns.

ye ai think u should ask the doctor

Welcome to my world!!
