Sleeping disorder? anyway to fix it besides meds?


for maybe 3 yrs now i fall asleep very early like 8 or 9 and considering im 15 its a bit unusual but i wake up about 3 to 5 times every night wide awake and cant sleep i usually wake around 1 or 2 and cant fall back to sleep i need some help b/c my school work is slipping and im always tired any suggestions besides meds maybe like drinks or food or exercises anything would be awesome thanks in advance

Sometimes there are hospitals and stuff that do sleep studies and you can sign up and you spend the night and they watch you sleep. I guess they observe your sleeping patterns and possibly give you some insight as to what your sleeping disorder is and how to treat it. good luck!!

Try making a small sachet of hops and lavender. I saw it on grow your own drugs on the BBC with James Wong who is an expert in that sort of thing. We all know that lavender helps you sleep but not many people know about hops. The pickers of the hops used to regularly become lethargic and fall asleep in the fields while working.

Drinking warm milk helps because it makes you warmer and as you cool down you become sleepy. Any exercise will help tire you out but remember to warm up and warm down and slow down towards the end as this will help your pulse slow down in readiness to sleep.

Don't eat large amounts before you go to bed as your body wont shut down as well if it has to keep working at digesting your food. Try to set up a regular timetable.

It would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about all the options and don't rule out medication as there may be an underlying condition that is responsible for this.

This may seem silly but try masturbating. :-)

first, never think of taking a caffienated drink (tea, COFFEE, cola, energy drink, chocolate) you can even try without at morning too. it May help you.
Secondly, do some exercise 2-3 hours before u want to hit the sack. but but.. take a lighter kind of it, one that your nervous system may not get stimulated with.( NO Body building, running hard, other streneous ones).
Also stretch your muscles while in the bed. specially Hamstrings and thighs.
at last you can seek medical help, may be your over active throid is the culprit or you may have some metabolism disorder etc. or simply you are under stress or sometimes even the delusion of sleeplesness makes one sleepless.

and yes,, take a cup of warm milk without flavoring at bed time, full stomach induces sleep well.

Hun you need to do more exercising and eating right! If you are really tired all the time I would go to the Dr and have your thyroid checked just to be sure? Hope I am helpful good luck!
