Insomnia and Sleep Disorder?

Hi I'm 21 and believe I suffer from insomnia or at least some bad sleep disorder for about 2 months, sadly I haven鈥檛 been able to get much successful advice.

I basically cant sleep, yawn or run out of energy, I don鈥檛 get head aches and the only thing that I do get is dry eyes, in the event that I do sleep, immediately I will wake up and I will stay awake for hours.

Health Summary

Diet
Drink(s) - Orange Juice - water.
Food - Sushi - Salad - Cereal - Meat, 3 - 4 meals a day

Exercise
Walking approx 2 - 3 hours a day.

Changes
Nothing, everything has been fine and the same, nothing changed in my life in years.

Things Tried
Warm Milk, Nytol, Warm Bath, Mass Exercise, Relaxing Music, New Bed, Reducing Carb Intake.

Sadly all failed, and before I take a week off and go to a clinic I hoped that someone out there would know what鈥檚 wrong, physically and mentally I haven鈥檛 changed, this is sudden and no one seams to know what鈥檚 wrong.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress,
dietary and medical problems. By making
small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly,
insomnia can be cured. I found the information at Source(s): http://nosleep.in/insomniacause.html...
i have mild insomnia and it helps me to go for a run for about 30 Min's to 1 hour or to go cycling for 1 -2 hours but it only works if i do this a few hours b4 i go 2 bed
well, you have a lot if single ideas, but have you tried them all together? Set up a diet with, you said it, lower carb intake. Exercise more than just walking. The biggest part is setting up a routine. Train your body to eat at certain times, work out at certain times, and sleep at certain times. If you go to bed at 11 every night and get up at 7 every morning, it should get used to the routine. Right now i'm in the same boat, and this is my strategy to get healther and get more sleep. It doesnt help that it's finals week here.
Nice and detailed life style and health habits
You did not include Smoker / Non-Smoker and nothinh about Your sexual habits neither, and both are VERY important to sleep disorders

Yet many people have several mis-conceptions and most tend to suggest the same solutions, the real cause is completely psychological.
You may try as many means and recipes as You want, the real thing is that

a) You're either becoming obsessed (stressed) by a Problem You seem unable to find a solution for and You're simply unable to unplug of it

or

b) You are so much bored with a sitiation You have been unable to change or are probably just unwilling to change that it dries out Your sleep away during night

In any case of the above, You truly need to "shock" or short-circuit Yourself and do something radical immediately, so You can get Your sleep back...

You may write Me and I'll let You know exactly what I did...

Good luck! Bear hugs! ;-)
