My friend's sleeping disorder really bothers me..she grinds her teeth while she's asleep why is it happen? |
my friend really bothers me when shes asleep she makes a terrible sound she grinds her teeth but she is unaware of it.. maybe its some kind of a sleeping disorder.. what are the reasons it happen? or what is the cause of it. Its not a sleeping disorder although it may be but most grinding of the teeth at night is caused by stress i also grind my teeth at night when i am sleeping but i am unaware i do this....and i ask the dentist and it is not known why people do this....weird.. My sis had this problem in the past and it was because her lower jaw and upper jaw were not alligned. No idea what the cause for it might be.. but there is no doubt that is it bad for your teeth/jaw .. there are specially designed mouthguards out there for this sort of thing.. they aren't as bulky as the regular ones for sports use.. and are softer so they wont be disruptive to sleep.. yours or hers :) Its called bruxism, it will eventually cause the teeth to gring so much that the neves become exposed and starts becoming painfull. Best thing to do is go to the dentist. They may be able to provide a protective covering like a plastic cover for the teeth when sleepng like what the boxers wear. This will help stop damage to the teeth and the awfull grinding sound Does she have very straight and flat teeth don't sleep with your friend, and it wont bother you it is not a sleepin disorder most ppl grind their teeth in their sleep, i do, my brother does, my hubby does so does my son. dont know wot causes it just happens if ur worried about that u wanna be more worried if she starts to sleep walk |
