Does everybody put weight on when they stop smoking? Not everybody, but the vast majority will. And it has VERY LITTLE to do with eating more after quitting smoking. The truth is that nicotine increases your metabolism, causing you to burn more calories. After quitting you can eat the same number of calories but your body won't burn them as quickly. You can literally have the same eating habits as before yet gain weight. It is a common frustration for quitters. No, everyone puts on weight when they start eating. because when you give up smoking, people tend to eat to satisfy their craving for nicotine, thus causing them to gain weight. yes you gain 拢s in your wallet From what I have seen most people do. I think it's a habit to put your hand up to your mouth so when your not smoking you put food up to your mouth instead. A good idea would be to chew on gum or hard candy. I do believe that this is not uncommon. not everyone, its cos they comfort eat instead which wouldnt be bad if it was celery No, but many people do. They eat as a substitute to reduce cravings. The same is true of people withdrawing from drugs. If you exercise vigorously and watch what you eat you can avoid weight gain. No not everyone puts on weight, but the majority of people do. The main reason is because smoking is not just an addiction due to the chemicals, but also because of the habitual reasons. Because of the habitual aspects most people tend to fill this void by eating more. If you find that you are doing this, just go to your local grocery store and pick up some healthy snacks. This way if you are eating, your eating healthy. |
