Quitting smoking and delayed period? |
I quit smoking 3 1/2 weeks ago. Period was due 3 days ago. Pregnancy test negative. Has anyone else had a delayed period from quitting smoking? Was a smoker for 8 yrs. That sounds possible, my period was late too and I am trying to quit smoking. when you stop smoking, it is a massive shock to the system, it takes a couple of months for the body to cope with this change, hang on, one step at a time. When you smoke, it reduces the amount of testosterone that your body produces (yes, women produce testosterone). When you quit, you produce more testosterone and that is probably why you're a little late. I wouldn't worry. |
